Neil Bartholomew - Co-Director
Neil has been heavily involved in martial arts since age 4 (a few years ago!). He holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate, but his main passion has been Judo (along with motor bike racing).
Neil currently holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Zen Judo, a 1st Dan BJC black belt, a 1st Dan IBF black belt and a 2nd Dan Dai Nippon black belt from Japan. He also is the proud holder of Level 1 and 2 BJC Coaching Awards. Neil also holds a level 1 First Aid and CRB. He is our highest ranking Judoka and is highly respected in martial arts circles.
Dr Charles Philp - Co-Director
Charlie has been involved in martial arts since age 10 (a couple of years ago), starting off in Wado Ryu Karate. He is currently a 1st Dan black belt in Zen Judo and a 1st Dan black belt in Goshin Jutsu Self Defence and has been awarded Yap Suk Dai Ji from the Molum Combat Arts Association, under Sifu Timothy White. Charlie has also trained extensively in Krav Maga and Brazilian Ju Jitsu. His main area of expertise is Self Defence. He has full First Aid qualifications and CRB.



Mitja Seffino - Co-Director
Mitja or Mickey as he's commonly known is the Italian connection, having gained his black belt in the BJC and having Judo flowing through his veins (his brother is one of Italy's top instructors), is one of the most dynamic instructors in the club. Having recently won Gold in competition, Mickey is a force to be reckoned with on the judo mat.
Mitja's warm ups would put even the most hardened Judoka through their paces. He is always eager to help out.



SPECIALIST INSTRUCTORS
Dr Rory McSweeney
Having dedicated his life to martial arts from a very early age, Rory has achieved National and International titles in various styles of Kick Boxing. Rory like most started his martial arts career in Karate progressing to Kempo Karate and ultimately to the world of Kick Boxing.
Rory was part of the notorious "Hit Man" squad in Ireland. He has fought in both British and Irish national teams and holds European Gold and World Silver medals in Free style martial arts.



Jazz Singh
Jazz is in possession of well over 30 years experience in Boxing training. Being a certified ABA Coach he has trained all people from basic to intermediate to professional and is a regular in the Mayweather camp. He is often flown over to the US and Cuba to help train some of their finest talent. A very hard worker himself, he expects the same of his students, but nevertheless has a very affable and humorous way about him.
